My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Juliet. I am a 6 month old domestic shorthair kitten. I was spayed in early October. My mom think I have a mackerel tabby coat. I’m not sure what that means but it just makes me hungry for fish. I have a very puffy, floofy tail like a raccoon and my eyes are round and yellow/green.

I am timid and shy with new people. I like to get to know them before I open my heart to them. I made my foster mom wait a week before she could pet me without running away from her. Once I know you I am so sweet and I start to talk to you and even sometimes ask for pets.

Food brings me out of my shell. I love it. I meow at the door for food now when I know my foster mom is coming. I love all kinds of canned food. I am not picky! I also love the Churu chicken cat treats. So delicious! I let you pet me while I’m eating and I don’t even notice!

I also love to play. My favorite toy is the cat dancer. My foster mom says it’s the key to getting me to come out from hiding. She plays it with me every night and I love it. Especially if my big brother Romeo comes to play too! I also like pom poms and even carry them around with me! My foster mom thinks it’s the cutest thing. Catnip is also a fun toy for me. I love to roll in it. I like the cat tree and I love to look out the window. It’s like TV for cats! I am so chatty when foster mom opens the window for me. There’s so much to take in! I have the cutest little trill/chirp.

I don’t lay in my foster mom’s lap yet. I am still only allowing pets at the moment. I need someone who will be patient with me while I adjust to living in a house. My big brother Romeo should help with that. We need to be adopted together because he’s my best friend. I couldn’t imagine life without him! He is much friendlier with strangers than I am and can show me the ropes.

I met the family dog and didn’t really like him. I was curious but hissy. I could probably get used to a cat savvy dog with time and proper introductions. I haven’t met any human children yet. My foster mom thinks I’d prefer older humans who know how to be patient and give me space.

We require kittens to be adopted in pairs or into a home with another young kitty. Please see our website to understand why. https://www.thekittenscradle.org/adoption-application/adopt/pairs/

All cats are vetted, which includes feluk/fiv testing, deworming, age appropriate vaccines and spay or neuter.

The Kittens Cradle is foster based which means that our adoptable cats are all in caring foster homes throughout the twin cities area. If you are interested in meeting this kitty, please call 763-350-9871 or email us at info@thekittenscradle.org
