Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tiki and 9 other dogs from the same backyard breeder came into our rescue after the breeder decided "he had too many dogs." As he was leaving to go to Mexico, he decided he needed a place for all these dogs to go immediately or he told us that he would just dump them all at a kill shelter. Thanks to help from our fosters, we were able to accommodate taking in all 9 dogs.
Tiki is a little female Chihuahua puppy and she came into rescue with her mother, Letty, and her 4 siblings, Tigger, Tanner, Timmy and Rusty. At the time we received them into rescue, they were 4 weeks old. They have now been weaned from mom and placed in a separate foster home to play, grow and learn. They've had their first set of shots and will be getting their second set shortly. They are currently around 8 weeks old and very, very cute.
Tiki is the only female and the smallest one of the litter. She loves snuggles and playing tug of war with Tanner. She takes on the boys and has no problem throwing them to the ground. She's still a little timid but coming around a little at a time. Tiki gets along great with her siblings and loves to wrestle and play with them. She is a typical puppy - play, eat, sleep and repeat. Tiki is black and tan like her brother, Tigger.
Tiki's adoption fee is $650; however, we will require an additional $100 spay deposit that will be refunded to her adopter upon proof of spay when she is old enough to be spayed (at approximately 6 months old). Her adoption fee includes GROUND transport from Houston, TX to the Hartford, CT area. Transport is arranged upon completion of adoption paperwork. We can do virtual meet and greets with PRE-APPROVED adopters prior to finalizing adoption. Adopters MUST include a veterinary reference on their adoption application. Any applications without a veterinary reference will be deleted without notice. Tiki is currently in her foster home in Clifton, Texas and will remain there until adopted.
