My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! They call me MONKEY because I’m as cute and playful as one. I'm a one year old 45lb Baladi cross. Did you know that the Baladi breed dates back 15,000 years? We are thought to be descendants of the Egyptian Saluki, Pharaoh Hounds, and Canaan dogs. Whatever my background is, I think you can all agree that I’m just gorgeous.

And everyone who meets me says that my personality is as beautiful as my looks. I can be a little shy when I first meet you but I am a real people person. I just love humans. In fact, I want to be around my humans all the time. I don’t want to be left alone too long. I am sweet to everyone. I’m nice to kids and I could live with kids over 8 as long as they are gentle.

I’m also one of those awesome doggies who legitimately loves cats! So kitty owners, I’m for you! With respect to other dogs, I can be a little socially awkward but with proper introductions, I’m just fine and love to play.

I also love to walk and I’m great on a leash. I’m working really hard on my house training and I’m almost there. But I’m not quite perfect yet. But really who is? I’m such a good girl in the car and I’m also crate trained. However, I can be a little vocal and so I cannot be in a condo. I’d actually love a home with a fenced in yard if possible because I really really love being outside. That said, this will be my first winter but I’m really looking forward to experiencing that white fluffy stuff they call snow.

Honestly, at the risk of sounding immodest, I’m pretty much an irresistible puppy and would make a great family member.

Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Our adoption fees are as follows:
$800 for puppies (approx. 1 year and under)
$750 for adults (2-6 years)
$600 for seniors (7 years and up)

All new pet parents will receive 6 weeks complimentary Pet Secure Accident and Illness Protection for any dog adopted from Just Paws. Once activated, the trial will cover veterinary bills up to $500.00 for accidents or illnesses, excluding pre-existing conditions. Please note that Just Paws is not responsible for insurance issues that may arise with your chosen veterinarian
