My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Letty and 9 other dogs from the same backyard breeder came into our rescue after the breeder decided "he had too many dogs." As he was leaving to go to Mexico, he decided he needed a place for all these dogs to go immediately or he told us that he would just dump them all at a kill shelter. Thanks to help from our fosters, we were able to accommodate taking in all 9 dogs.

Letty is a little female Chihuahua and our vet estimates she is around 2 years old. She weighs 10 pounds. She is so cute. She's a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, she's the best friend you could ever have. She loves attention from her people. She likes being picked up and held and prefers to be a lap dog. She will let you know when she wants to be picked up and will also dance for treats. She has discovered that sleeping in the people bed with her foster parents is pretty sweet and she is a great cuddle buddy. She is in a foster home with 3 resident big dogs and likes to play chase with them outside and cuddle with them in their dog beds during the day. Dog toys are so much fun and she'll steal toys away from the others and hide them in her crate. She may be much smaller than the other dogs in her foster home, but she doesn't let them boss her around. She came into our rescue with her 5 puppies. Now that her puppies have been adopted and she has been spayed, it is her turn to find a loving family. She is house trained, crate trained and leash trained, although her excellent fosters have trained her to be able to walk off-leash. She is very well behaved. She will be a great little companion for a lucky person!

Letty's adoption fee is $650 (that includes GROUND transport from Houston, TX to the Hartford, CT area. Transport is arranged upon completion of adoption paperwork. We can do virtual meet and greets with pre-approved adopters prior to finalizing adoption. Letty has been fully vaccinated, spayed, dewormed and microchipped so she is ready to go! Letty is currently in her foster home in Clifton, Texas and will remain there until adopted.
