Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Quigley is a 2 year old black tri Aussie mix located in NH. He has a hereditary hypermature cataract in the left eye that requires a drop once daily forever (more info on condition below). He weighs 46 pounds. He is goofy, playful, loves attention, cuddling, and is our shadow.
Quigly is Potty trained and kennel trained. Great with other dogs but is a very rough player and sometimes doesn't know when to stop playing. Good with my cat but does chase him. Pulls on leash some and will sometimes bark at other dogs/people when walking. Absolutely no signs of aggression towards us or my dogs and no signs of resource guarding towards us or my dogs. He would be good with kids 10 and over because he is ruff and clumsy.
He is really good in his kennel - sleeps in his kennel and fed in his kennel. Rides well in the car. He is low to medium energy when not playing with my other Aussies. Read below about his hypermature cataract.
Quigley was diagnosed with a hypermature cataract with no lens left, just capsule wrinkling and plaques in the left eye. The eye is visually impaired. He may possibly develop a complication in the eye that may require further therapy (glaucoma being the most likely), but he will most likely remain comfortable in it. The eye drop Diclofenac is recommended long term - helps prevent further inflammation and reduces the risk of glaucoma. Routine checks with an ophthalmologist is advised. With his diagnosis, he is to be walked by harness only and not by the neck – pressure on the neck can increase pressure in the eye. Quigley will come with a harness! The right eye is completely normal.
NO HORSES OR LIVESTOCK!
Requirements:
-Ophthalmologist rechecks every 6 months
