Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tengu is one of 5 beautiful, intelligent Malinois pups born 08/02. They and their mother were rescued from a bad situation when they were only a couple of weeks old, along with close to 20 other Malinois.
Tengu is the biggest pup, and just has something about his personality and elegant coloring that keeps drawing your attention back. Out of the pups, he seems to have a little more drive and focus on objects (although it is hard to tell at this age - generally energy and personality is seen more fully around 4 months, and they are all definitely inquisitive, energetic, mischievous Malinois pups!) Tengu is just a gorgeous little guy.
Mom is a very sweet, curious, smart girl, who is good with other dogs and new people (but not so much livestock, especially when the foster tested her ball drive and got her excited). Mom is on the smaller side, and should be an estimated 55 pounds when back to full weight (most of the dogs, including Mom and Dad, were emaciated on discovery). Their dad is a larger Belgian Malinois who should be close to 70 pounds at at healthy weight, who also does well with most other dogs, is a very sweet boy as well, especially once he knows you (he does bark at strangers, but with no ill intent),
The puppies have been dewormed, fecal tested, had their puppy wellness checks, are on their 2nd set of shots, are microchipped, and will be scheduled for spay/neuter and rabies close to 6 months of age. Adopters local to Menifee also receive a free Beginner and Intermediate group class with adoption, for a total of 16 weeks of free training.
Due to needing to complete their last set of shots, and needing to be spay/neutered/rabies vaccinated, local adoptions will be considered first, and the rescue will discuss options with highly qualified out of area adopters to ensure pups are fully vetted prior to adoption.
