Jewel was a street cat nobody cared about. She was trapped along with her babies and allowed to nurse them for the first couple of months. After that, her kittens were distributed among different rescues, but nobody wanted anything to do with Jewel. Why? She is such a sweetheart! They were going to just put her back out on the streets where neighbors had already threatened to dispose of her somehow.

Thankfully, she was rescued from that situation and brought into a foster home where she met her best friend, El Gringo. El Gringo really helped her break out of her shell. She can still be a little shy at first, understandably, but she loves treats and being pet more than anything. She gravitates more to women and would be a great kitty for someone with a quieter lifestyle.
