Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cook and Chef - Bonded Brothers
These kittens are bonded, gentle and sweet. They love to play as kittens typically do, and of course they have their favorite toys. Their caregiver is greeted with tender love as soon as she steps back in the door. These boys love to be held and let you know it by purring up a storm. Cook and Chef enjoy looking out the window on their cat tree watching people and dogs pass by. When first rescued, they needed medical care and understandably were a little reserved by their new surroundings and the treatments they were administered to help them get better. It was a joy to watch their transition as they blossomed in their new world.
We rescued Cook (black and white) and Chef (black) from Chicago Animal Control. We treated Cook for severe conjunctivitis (pink eye) which had progressed due to non-treatment. He consequently lost a bit of his eyesight. But he has fully recovered and can see adequately out of both his eyes.
Cook and Chef are two of the sweetest kittens and will fill your home with love and joy. They are happy to be alone with each other, as well as enjoy the company of humans. We have not exposed them to children nor dogs. We feel Cook and Chef could be in a home with properly trained children who treat animals with respect and kindness. We are not sure about dogs. All kittens must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with another young cat with which he or she can play and socialize. The majority of no-kill rescues nationwide adhere to this policy. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions, rather it ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development.
