My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**THIS DOG IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING AT THE SHELTER.* If you see an animal you're interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet

Buddy is a handsome fella looking for his forever home. His ideal family would have previous bully breed experience and own their own home. Buddy would do best in a home with a polite, playful female dog or may be content to be your one and only, a meet and greet is required with any resident canines. This guy will require a feline free home. We don't have any history on this sweet guy with children so children in the home should be 10 years and older as he is a strong, energetic dude. Buddy is an expert escape artist and will need to have a good confinement plan and supervision when outside.

Buddy went out with our Wandering Rover program and they had this to say about him: Buddy is an amazing dog! He does very well in the car while it is moving! When you stop, he likes to talk and whine but he stops as soon as you start driving again! He walks very well on the leash and has definitely had previous training as I got him to sit and speak!! He seems more food motivated than toy but he still carried a stuffed animal around the park! Buddy has some separation anxiety and would need someone that can spend time with him!

ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT

Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.

How does this work?

First, check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, visit our website (www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet) to complete an online adoption application.

Our staff will review your application and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that we receive many applications, and it may take up to a week before you are contacted.

Adoption appointments are set up using strict social distancing protocols, and many transactions are processed ‘curbside’ outdoors. Our staff will go over appointment details when they speak with you.

Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.

Animals are usually able to go home right away, so be prepared for your new pet to leave with you.

CATS
- Adult cats (over 6 months): $50
- Kittens (6 months and under): $125
