Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 1 year
Adoption Fee: 400
Behavioral Issues: typical puppy behavior, jumping, chewing, nothing out of the ordinary but does need some basic training. Jack is VERY smart and would excel in any type of training. Jack is also fully crate trained and is fine in his crate at night.
Kids?: He has proven to play a little rough for young children, but is very friendly just jumps and knocks them over, we are requesting children 8 and older, visiting children are fine, Jack's only fault is being too friendly with children.
Dogs?: YES would do well with another active young dog
Cats?: NO Jack chases cats, not to harm but he is very curious about them and we can't risk a cat scratch to his remaining eye.
Medical Issues: Jack has had his left eye removed, but he gets along fine and has no other medical issues.
Time alone: no more then 5 hours per day
Poor Jack!
Jack was picked up as a stray and SWON pug rescue pulled him from a local pound. SWON pug rescue is seeking sponsors to help pay for Jacks surgery for more information on how to help please visit Jacks page at SWON pug rescue website www.swonpugrescue.com
Jack had suffered painful trauma to his left eye which had been left without medical treatment for quite some time. Jack had enucleation surgery on Jan 7th 2010 to have the eye removed and relieve his constant pain.
Jack is about 18 months old, he is full of energy and needs someone who has time to dedicate to help him rise to his full potential. Jack loves children but does get excited so we are requesting only homes with children 8 years and older apply for Jack. Jack does really well with other dogs and loves to play. Jack is a big cat chaser and he cannot go to a home with cats (for fear of him loosing his other eye to a cat scratch).
Jack is crate and house trained, he does well in his crate at night and for short periods during the day. He walks well on a leash and will need daily walks in his new home. We have taught Jack some basic obedience but he will need this to be ongoing with his new owner.
Jack is an outgoing, fun loving guy who needs an active home with lots of time to dedicate to a young dog who has had a rough start to life. The ideal applicant for Jack would be a young couple or single person with other dogs (or not) that is home most of the time during the day and has the time and knowledge to help Jack reach his full potential with lots of exercise and continue with his training. Jacks adoption fee is $400 which includes his neuter, heart worm test, treated with advantage, vaccinations, deworming, and enucleation surgery
Although Jack only has one eye it does not slow him down! He does not bump into things or have trouble finding things.
To apply for Jack please visit SWON pug rescue website and download an adoption application and send it to info@swonpugrescue.com
