My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chaco!

Hey there! My name is Chaco and I'm about 10 years old and just 35 pounds. I don't move too fast anymore with my old age as I have some pretty bad arthritis in my back legs. This also means I should be in a home with no steps. I get along with everyone I meet, even kids! I'm good with other mellow dogs, and I don't even mind cats. I'm a pretty mellow boy. I go outside to do my business, then I come back in. I don't walk too far. I'm such a happy boy and the sweetest, most handsome man you'll ever lay eyes on. You see those white hairs on my face? Those mean I'm distinguished. I'm looking for the people who will love me forever, no matter what! What do you say? Do you have room in your heart to love an old guy like me?

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
