Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Little Debbie. She is a one-year-old, Puggle, weighing 23lbs with a short hair coat. She was found as a stray with severe trauma to her left eye. We had to have the eye removed and stitched shut. She is now pain-free. Debbie is a social butterfly, true to her mixed breed traits. She has a huge appetite due to the beagle, so food must be measured out so she doesn't get overweight. She is loving and can stop on a dime so is considered a medium energy dog. This gal is crate trained though she doesn't need to be crated. She is very good at not being destructive in the home. Debbie's eye removal has not hindered her in the slightest. She still sees well and loves to play with other dogs. She enjoys being up on the couches and chairs and is excellent in the car. She is at her optimum weight so is finished growing. Debbie listens quite well. Debbie runs to her crate when dinner is served. She sleeps through the night and is perfectly housebroken. Debbie is also not a vocal dog. Really just a wonderful addition to any family. Debbie is also good with children and cats. She tends to jump up so children over the age of 7 is best. This is a great little family dog. Little Debbie has been wonderful in foster care. This sweetheart is a kisser so beware! Lots and lots of kisses! The ideal home for Debbie is one where she is included in the family's activities. Going for walks will be a big adventure for her so a body harness and lead is a necessity. She is very smart and due to her beagle mix can never be off-leash unless in a fully fenced backyard. Little Debbie is spayed, 4dx tested negative, up to date with vaccines, dewormed, and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. A fully fenced yard is mandatory. No families with children under the age of 7 will be eligible.
