Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Coco!
Oh! Hello there. You startled me! My name is Coco and I can't see or hear too well anymore. I guess when you're 14 years old that happens. I still get around okay, but if you need to puck me up and carry me I'm only 15 pounds, so I'm pretty light. My owner has to go to the hospital for a long stay, and since he has no one in his family willing to take care of me he took me to the shelter to be euthanized because he thought no one would want an old dog like me. Please don't be mad at him though, he was very upset. That is until the shelter staff asked if they could find a rescue for me to go to that would make sure I had a good home! He just couldn't believe someone would want to love me the way he does! So, here I am, an Albert's Dog looking for her forever family.
I had a bad UTI, so I peed alot, and had some accidents, but I'm getting better now. My foster mom still takes me out alot to make sure no accidents happen. I get along with cats and dogs, I'm friendly with everyone. I could even live with kids 12 and older. I think little kids would startle me too much though. I'm a real big cuddle bug, and I'm the sweetest little lady ever. I like to be outside when the weather is nice, and I prefer to be around my humans. I'm not a fan of the crate, so I cry if I'm put in one, but otherwise I'm quiet and I don't bark. At night time I'd love to sleep with my humans! I'm sure hoping you'll love me like my dad did, so we can make all his wishes come true!

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
