Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jax!
Howdy, my name is Jax! I'm about 4 years old and weigh around 50 pounds. I'm a happy boy and foster mom says I'm super special. You see, I have seizures, but I don't let that affect my every day life other than taking medicine to keep them under control. I'm good with other dogs, and I even started playing tug with my fur foster sibling! I actually really like all kinds of toys. I haven't been around small kids in my foster home, but I live with a teenager and do well with him. Foster mom says I'm such a good boy she can't imagine me having any problems with any respectful kids. I'm such a good boy I even get along with cats! I also do all my business outside and don't need to ever be in a crate, in fact I'm not fond of the crate at all.
One of my favorite things to do is going on walks. I get so happy about going on a walk I'll even do a little dance for you! I really enjoy using my nose and will pick up trails of things that smell super good. That's because I'm a hound dog, and we are good at using our noses. When we are at home relaxing I will always let my human rub my belly, and will even crawl in your lap so it's easier for you to reach my belly. I'm really excited to find my forever family who will love me for me, who will let me give them all my love and personality! Are you ready to welcome me into your life?

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
