Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Penny is a beautiful silver Labrador and (possibly) Weimaraner, mix. She is about 5 months old with energy to spare (which she doesn’t) and an appetite of a horse. She has a super friendly and playful demeanor despite the fact that she was rescued from (apparently) horrible conditions. The person who rescued her preferred to spare us any details about her scary past. Penny has yet to meet a stranger. She loves everyone and gets along great with all the dogs she has met so far. She especially loves to play with Kate.
Penny is like a clumsy fawn with legs for days, huge paws and not a very good sense of balance. Don’t worry, though! All puppies are like that and will outgrow the clumsiness, sooner or later. She is, and will be for some time, teething. Which means she is not a good fit for families with little children at this time. Aside from being clumsy, puppies are also nippy and will want to chew on anything and everything, especially if it’s on the floor (aka baby and toddler toys and food) or at eye level (aka babies and toddlers). Speaking of toys, she LOVES them! She could have ALL the toys, and more! Her perfect family would be active, with or without another playful dog or two, with or without playful older children and not be very attached to shoes.
Penny received her first set of shots on October 7 and is scheduled for boosters on November 5. Her spay is scheduled for November 15 but she is adoptable before then. Adopter must sign a spay contract and commit to having her spayed as per the contract. We are happy to pay for the spay surgery if it is done at our Vet or, we can share the cost if adopter chooses to have her spayed at a different Vet.
