My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Muriel!

Hey there, I'm Muriel and I'm about 11 years old. Just a little thing, now weighing 7 pounds, I was found as a stray alone and very skinny. I had a microchip that shows I once lived overseas, but no one can fine where I belong, which sadly happens alot in the south. That's where I'm from, the south, the great state of Tennessee. I'm good with other dogs and even cats, but no small kids for me please! I'm just a frail little girl, and after what I've gone through recently, I think little kids chasing me and trying to pick me up will just be too much. Teenagers would be okay though. In fact, they might be able to help with my potty training. I'm working really hard at going outside all the time, but consistency is key!

I might look a little funny to you right now, but that's because I'm missing most of my hair. With good food and medicated baths twice a week, and lots of love of course, it's growing back nicely! I love to be with my human, and if I could sit in your lap as often as possible I'm just the happiest little lady! I have a little cloudy eye, but the vet says I can still see just fine. That's a good thing, because I can't wait to see my new family!

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
