My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Can your home be brightened by a Rose? This gorgeous baby girl is Stella Rose 🌹. She was a skinny, terrified pound puppy. Now she is a happy, timid, high energy baby who is afraid of unknown dogs. She shows this fear by initially barking and growling. After she learns that the other dog is not a threat, she LOVES to play with them (she seems to do best with dogs that are her size or larger). She has done amazing with the last couple of dogs she has met at our home! We are helping her overcome her fear by having her meet other dogs regularly and by building her confidence. Stella is a hound mix who is almost 8 months old. She loves to run, jump and play. She is very agile and would likely do amazing in agility training. Stella is very smart! She knows how to sit, shake, do high five and several other tricks (taught to her by a ten-year-old). She knows how to use the doggie door and does a great job taking care of her business outside. Stella should not be around cats or other small animals (she has a high prey drive, but doesn't "attack" the cats- she sniffs them and tries to play roughly with them). Stella LOVES people of all ages and is very sweet. She is looking for a family that is willing to continue to work with her on overcoming her fears and becoming an even more amazing dog.
