A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY ADOPTION. YOU WILL FIND IT ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WITHOUT THIS PIECE, WE CAN'T EVEN HAVE A CONVERSATION ABOUT ANY OF OUR POOCHES. FOLKS WITH SHELTIE EXPERIENCE AND ANOTHER GENTLE COMPANION DOG WILL BE GIVEN SPECIAL PRIORITY.
Some puppies seem to be a "party waiting to happen." Colleen is one of those pups. She is an 11-week-old sable and white purebred Sheltie puppy. Female obviously. Too young to spay but she WILL be spayed when she is old enough for surgery. (On our nickel!) She is bright and bold and very charming. She is fabulous with men, women and other dogs. We have not seen her with kids yet, so we would take that kind of introduction slowly. But I would betcha that she will adore older kids, but not toddlers that might be too rough.
She has had her first puppy vaccine, a distemper /parvo combo with lepto. And she has been wormed once with strongid. Colleen is microchipped with a Home Again chip and will have a lifetime database included in her adoption. We will continue to pay for her care with vaccines and spay.
Only the most enlightened humans need apply.
