🐾LITTLE TEDDY LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME.🐾
Teddy is 11 lbs of cuteness, a 5 year old Maltese mix, boy looking fir a new home.
As told by his rescuer and fister mom:
Teddy's rescue story...
Teddy was being posted daily in the Beverly Hills compound group by neighbours. He was always our running loose alone.
I happened to be going to visit a friend in the compound. I parked my car, got out, and Teddy ran up to me wagging his tail.
He was in a mess, well fed but his coat was dirty and matted.
My friend told me that he is the dog being posted about regularly, so with the help of security, we found his home.
When I spoke to his owners, they didn't care at all and kept saying that he pees everywhere in their home so they leave him outside.
This is when I decided to take him.
First thing I did was take him to the groomers.
After 1 week I started his vaccinations.
By month 2 he was neutered.
Teddy is a funny dog.
Loves to walk on his back legs!
He is super sweet and loves to be cuddled.
Teddy loves walks and walks
well on leash and harness.
He is FANTASTIC with kids
( take care because he is small and breakable!).
Teddy is really sociable with people and very gentle. He loves attention. He is a very confident dog around people and loves going out in the car (even if I'm just running errands).
Teddy is currently living with 4 other dogs and is ok, however, he would be better placed in a home as an only dog. Although we don't have any major problems, that is purely down to the attitude of my other dogs.
Teddy tends to be bossy with them and can growl at them, which the other dogs (luckily) just ignore and I stay on top of.
Food:
Teddy eats dry and wet food.
Grooming: he needs to be trimmed every 8 to 10 weeks.
I also give him a shorter cut in the summer, twice.
Teddy is super easy when it comes to showers, trimming and blow drying. He sits still and basically let's you get on with it.
Eyes: I clean the area around is eyes a couple of times a week with cotton and cooled boiled water, otherwise he gets a build up (this is quite normal with these dogs).
Of leash: only ever tried in an enclosed dog park. He does come when you call him. Otherwise he is walked on an extended leash.
Commands: come, sit, down, dindins.
Teddy is toilet trained.
Sleeping: he likes to sleep in the living room.
He is not crate trained. When I go out, he has the run of the home. He does not destroy.
Teddy has never been into toys, he doesn't know what to do with them. He does love his comfy bed.
Teddy is an all great around little dog.
He is up for action and walks but also likes to relax and cuddle.
His love of people would make him a great family dog. However, he has lived with just 1 person and is happy.
The only comment I have is he loves to lick people, for some this could be annoying.
Otherwise he is a really easy dog
Teddy will arrive having been neutered, vaccinated ( Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Corona Viral Enteritis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus Leptospirosis, Rabies), treated for worms and ticks, microchipped
He has had basic CBC blood panel drawn in Egypt to ensure there are no ‘hidden’ viruses and is healthy
He has also been tested for tick- borne diseases ie. Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Babesiosis as well as for internal parasites, all with negative results.
The adoption fee is $1200 and includes the flight and the travel crate he will fly in.
