Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bailey has received her RHDV2 vaccination.
If you are looking to adopt a very special bunny, look no further!
Bailey is described by her foster family as the most social, loving, engaging bunny they have ever had. She is a little bundle of energy, literally bounding around her area with delight! She has never met a vegetable or a person that she didn’t like.
When WHRS first received Bailey she was a serious medical case. She displayed anxious behaviors. She overgroomed herself to the point of self-mutilation. She had open wounds on her neck. She had to wear a medical pet shirt to keep her from accessing her stomach causing open wounds that became infected.
After a few visits with the Special Species clinic at UW Veterinary Care, along with a much-needed spay and a stable, safe foster home, we are happy to report that Bailey has shown no signs of anxiety or self-mutilation in nearly two months!
Because of her medical history and past history of being a classroom pet, Bailey will require a calm and quiet forever home. This means a home with no children or dogs. Adult, calm cats should be okay.
An adopter with rabbit experience and a relationship with a rabbit savvy vet is preferred.
She requires an exercise pen setup at minimum as her home space, with daily free time out to explore and hang with her human companion.
Bailey’s love will simply melt your heart! She is being fostered in a Madison foster home.
If you think that you would be the right match for Bailey and can provide for all that she needs to be happy and healthy please go to our adoptions page and submit your application to adopt-

If you adopt Bailey you will receive a free 1yr membership to Wisconsin House Rabbit Society as well as a copy of The House Rabbit Handbook: How To Live With An Urban Rabbit.
