Welcome Kiki, the smallest in the litter...she is only 8 pounds while sibling are near 10 pounds! She has the cutest brindle and is just a funny little girl!
This litter with mom, Roxie, and pups: Ipo, Brinn, Brynna, Fluff, Puff, Tanbo and Kiki was born in northern AZ on July 18th. They have been in foster care since birth and transferred down to Phoenix at 2 weeks old with mommy. The litter has been awesome with mom still nursing at 6 weeks! Pups are eating canned and puppy kibble but without a doubt mom's milk is the best! Mom has done a great job with them and in their foster home they are also introduced to other people, dogs, cats and all noisy things like vacuum cleaners and nothing seems to trouble them.
These pups are looking to move to foster to adopt homes by mid September right after their first shots. If you apply your pup will arrive as a foster to adopt and ONCE they have been spayed/neutered at 14 weeks and completed their shots (payed for by Help a Dog Smile) then you will be there full owner!!
These are young puppies so please think about the next 12 years before applying! They are young pups that are currently using potty pads as they are too young to be outside! When they arrive at your home they will need access to potty pads or supervised outside potty breaks every 2 hours during day and 4 hours at night as pups can only hold their bladder about an hour per month of age!
These will be big dogs as they are weighing in at 9,5 to 10.2 pounds at 6 weeks of age!!! We are thinking their mix to be lab, shepard (think Dutch shepard) and of course maybe some cattle dog:) They have been well socialized but will need you to start the next steps of training!!! For pups this age that means keeping them social, starting on chewing on toys only, and developing a bond with them. At about three months they can work on sit, down, stay....but now they just need to grow a bit:)
They have an adoption fee of $400 that will cover their microchip, shots: rabies, bordatella and 4 parvo/distemper as well as their spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting please fill out and application at helpadogsmile.org.
