My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jeep, the 80-pound coonhound mix with a personality as big as his bark! This charming guy is known for his deep, resonant woof, which will let you know when he's around. With a heart as large as his frame, Jeep is a friendly and enthusiastic companion who loves to explore the world on a leash, making walks a delightful adventure.

Jeep's unique personality shines through in everything he does-whether bounding around the yard with joyous energy or lounging on the couch after a day of fun. He's always ready for an outing or a play session, bringing excitement and much love into your life.

At this time, we recommend that Jeep be the only animal in the household. While he may not be the best fit with other pets right now, his loyalty and affection will make him an incredible solo companion. If you're looking for a devoted friend with a booming bark and a big heart, Jeep might be the perfect match for you!

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
