Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SOPHIE: 1 ½ yr old female yellow lab/mix 73 lbs
Background: Sophie is coming to GGLRR from an owner that loves her dearly but knows that Sophie needs more exercise than she can provide and room to encourage her growth as a young dog.
What Sophie’s Owner Says: Sophie is a young, attractive, energetic female lab/greyhound mix. I live in a studio apartment; Sophie needs a home with more room and a yard to run and play.
She gets along well with people and dogs of similar energy and size. A home with another dog and/or senior/teacher dog-friend could be a good fit. A home without cats or small dogs would be best in that she will chase them. Sophie goes to Doggie Day Care three times a week (4 hrs) to play and socialize with other dogs. She becomes very wiggly and excited around kids; older dog-savvy kids would be best.
I have been working with a trainer; Sophie has made significant progress building her skills and confidence. She loves treats and praise, along with positive reinforcement, she has done well. Sophie’s commands are improving; she knows sit, stay, down, and come, may not comply if she gets distracted. Her leash skills improve daily; she still is a little unsure of loud traffic and unknown loud noises.
Sophie is eager to please and will thrive in a supportive, structured environment with ample opportunity for exercise. Sophie is a wonderful girl that has made great strides since I adopted her four months ago.
What Sophie’s Rep Says: We are looking for a home where someone is home most of the day, and experience with a high-energy dog, and will continue her training.
Medical Information: Sophie is spayed, up to date on her shots, takes heartworm medicine, and is microchipped.
Sophie is located in: Healdsburg
If you are interested in Sophie, please email Liz at liz@jobshopsf.com.
Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
