Please help us find a new home for our 8-year-old cat, Pepper! We have had her since she was 4 months old. She is energetic, and needs time set aside each day to play; she loves re-usable shopping bags and stick toys! She is also a lap cat, and loves a warm blanket and sleeping by the fireplace. She definitely has a "tortie-tude", and will need time to adjust to life in a new home, but once she has claimed you as a member of her "pack", she is very loyal and loving.

Pepper was found feral, and was not properly socialized as a kitten during her first months of life. Therefore, she can be defensive and territorial of her home and her people, and doesn't usually do well if strangers interact with her. We tell guests not to interact with her, even if she approaches them to sniff. She has never bitten or attacked anyone, just has showed territorial behaviors to people who have interacted with her outside of her family. A home with experienced cat owners and no small children would be best.
