Olive is a 3 year old, 40lb, Lab/Hound Mix. She is currently avaiable in Cascade, VA. She is initially shy when meeting strangers but warms up after she gets accustomed to you. Olive is the gentlest of dogs, who once you gain her trust, will amaze you with her intelligence. She is house and crate trained, walks on lead, and rarely barks. Olive has been around lots of dogs and has loved them all. She is good around children who are low key. Olive is one of our “Underdogs” who is very special, and we are looking for that unique home who will give her time to reach her comfort zone with you. If you are looking for a dog to take everywhere, she is NOT the right match. If you are looking for a stay-at-home companion, please consider Olive.
Adoption applications can be sent through https://form.jotform.com/.../hail-mary-rescue-adoption...
Hail Mary Rescue Adoption Application is in place to make sure You, your Family and our Dogs are matched correctly to the best of our ability. Our adoption fee is $200.00 Louisiana residents and $400.00 for dogs brought up to our Virginia area due to transport costs. All of our dogs are fully vetted and micro chipped. Without accurate information, we cannot guarantee a good match. After all, isn't this what it's all about when adopting your Forever Companion? We want our dogs to succeed and be happy.
We match our dogs according to the information YOU answer here. If the dog you are interested in is not suitable, we will be more than happy to try and find one who is. Southeast Louisiana has an overpopulation of unwanted dogs turned into area shelters daily. If you do not plan on keeping our dogs updated with Heartworm Prevention, please do not apply.
Every application is responded to by our adoption coordinators. Submitting the application does NOT mean the dog is yours. We are all Volunteers so please give us time to match you up with a wonderful dog.
Hail Mary Rescue requires vet checks and at times home checks. Once your 14 day “trial adoption period” is complete, and you decide to adopt, you will be asked in our contract to have an invoice from your vet emailed to us showing you have established your dog as a client and have bought the HW prevention. Each of our dogs are unique with different requirements to adopt. Please read carefully to ensure this one is for you.
Hail Mary Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit Animal Rescue, saves dogs from southeast Louisiana shelters. It is a foster-based rescue with an intake facility, which gives pets the opportunity to live in home settings where they are house and crate trained, learn basic obedience commands, and are well socialized, many with children and other dogs. Exposure to cats depends on the foster's home. All dogs are completely vetted, vaccinated, spay/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
We have 2 locations.
