My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! Thank you for checking out Dara's adoption listing. Here are a few key points on our adoption process. Please read through them and then learn more about Dara, down below.
•First, please note that we are unable to receive correspondence through Adopt-A-Pet’s system. Any buttons on this listing will unfortunately not reach us including the "Ask About Me" button. If you’re interested in adopting, please visit www.sanctuaryrescue.com and submit an adoption questionnaire under the "forms" section.

Darling Dara has stolen everyone's hearts! This girl is the total package. She loves to play with other pups, is confident and independent, is well-behaved even when the doorbell rings and most importantly--is a superior snuggler. She likes every person she meets and loves anyone who feeds her. We are guessing she is about 2 years old and weighs in at 42 pounds. Dara is housetrained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Foster mom says, "Anyone would be lucky to have her in their life. She makes everything more joyful! I think she could do well with a family with other dogs or where she is the only dog. She loves snuggling with the people on the sofa and is the absolute best to wake up near in the morning. She is all smiles and wiggles and wags and kisses and grunts and snorts."

Dara's adoption fee is $295, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay, and microchip. If you would like to make this darling girl a part of your family, please visit sanctuaryrescue.com and complete an adoption questionnaire under the “Forms” tab.

• If a pup's adoption listing is still up, that means we are still accepting adoption applications for them. No need to ask "is this dog still available?" because if the listing is still there, that's a Yes! If we get to the point that we have received a number of applications, we will change this listing to "applications closed." This means we are no longer accepting applications and have moved on to the review process. Next, foster parents will contact approved applicants to set up a meet-and-greet. This can take up to 1 to 2 weeks.
• Once a dog is officially adopted, we will remove its listing. So if this listing is gone, this dog has found its forever family and is no longer available.
• This past year, we have seen a massive increase in people interested in adopting dogs (yay!). This means each dog, especially puppies, can receive multiple applications. If it doesn’t work out this time, please understand this is not a personal judgement but likely a result of supply and demand. We encourage you to reapply in the future.
