Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our little Blade is one of our special “Underdogs”. Blade is available for adoption through our HMR East Chapter in Virginia. He was trapped by an area shelter after being on the streets and brought in by animal control. We have completed his HW treatment and rehab and he’s ready for a home that will understand his personality. He will need time to adjust to the change of moving but will love you with his whole heart once acclimated. Blade is estimated to me 3-4 yrs/Spaniel mix/21lbs/crate and house trained. He walks well on a leash now but does not like new adventures. He’s content to chill on his cot in the yard or lay by your side inside. He’s good around other dogs, is not a digger or barker. A fenced yard will be required for this lil guy. Adoption applications can be sent through https://form.jotform.com/.../hail-mary-rescue-adoption...
Hail Mary Rescue Adoption Application is in place to make sure You, your Family and our Dogs are matched correctly to the best of our ability. Our adoption fee is $200.00 Louisiana residents and $400.00 for dogs brought up to our Virginia area due to transport costs. All of our dogs are fully vetted and micro chipped. Without accurate information, we cannot guarantee a good match. After all, isn't this what it's all about when adopting your Forever Companion? We want our dogs to succeed and be happy. We match our dogs according to the information YOU answer here. If the dog you are interested in is not suitable, we will be more than happy to try and find one who is. Southeast Louisiana has an overpopulation of unwanted dogs turned into area shelters daily. If you do not plan on keeping our dogs updated with Heartworm Prevention, please do not apply. Every application is responded to by our adoption coordinators. Submitting the application does NOT mean the dog is yours. We are all Volunteers so please give us time to match you up with a wonderful dog.
Hail Mary Rescue requires vet checks and at times home checks. Once your 14 day “trial adoption period” is complete, and you decide to adopt, you will be asked in our contract to have an invoice from your vet emailed to us showing you have established your dog as a client and have bought the HW prevention. Each of our dogs are unique with different requirements to adopt. Please read carefully to ensure this one is for you.
Hail Mary Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit Animal Rescue, saves dogs from southeast Louisiana shelters. It is a foster-based rescue with an intake facility, which gives pets the opportunity to live in home settings where they are house and crate trained, learn basic obedience commands, and are well socialized, many with children and other dogs. Exposure to cats depends on the foster's home. All dogs are completely vetted, vaccinated, spay/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. We have 2 locations. Hail Mary Rescue South (By New Orleans)/Hail Mary Rescue East (By Danville Virginia)
