Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. Wilma is currently living in a foster home in Madison, Wisconsin.
Hi! I’m Wilma, a 17 pound mixed breed. The Texas vets thought I was about 5 years old, but the Wisconsin vet seems sure I’m a bit younger than that. I’m looking for a calm home, hopefully with a dog friend who wants to play and zoom around the yard with me.
Despite all the scary things she’s been through, Wilma is sweet as pie and a champion snuggler. She loves to be loved on, but she’s not pushy about it. She’s adorable when she stands on her back legs and waves her cute little white-tipped paws at you. Her whole body wiggles when she wags her tail!
She’s a bit of a homebody and doesn’t like car rides; she’d rather lounge in a sunny spot and look out the window. She likes walks in quiet environments but is just as happy sniffing around the fenced yard and watching squirrels (with the occasional zoomies). Wilma’s pretty shy and needs time to warm up to new people and things.
She is kennel trained but loves to sleep in her donut bed on top of her human’s bed. She’s house-trained and has never had an accident inside.
When she was found on the streets in Texas it was determined that Wilma had heartworms. She completed treatment in Texas with no complications.
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
