Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Bonnie has had some bumps in her life. She was surrendered to a shelter where she was very, understandably, nervous before finding her way to us here. She needed a little time to come around and realize that all we wanted to do was love her but once she did she became a little love bug.
Bonnie does have some funny looking front legs but she doesn't seem bothered by them and they don't seem to be causing her any pain. She was actually born missing some of the bones that should be there which is why they look like they do. Her new family will just have to keep an eye on those legs to make sure she continues to do well and remains pain free.
She really loves people and is enjoying her time with her foster mom. Her favorite thing to do is snuggle and she likes following foster mom around wherever she goes. She is currently living with a cat friend and is doing very well with her. We think she would do best in a home that wants to snuggle her as much as she wants to snuggle them. Since she is so small and does have her funny front legs she would probably do best in a home with older children who have lived with dogs before. She does ok around other dogs but is nervous so calmer dogs who are ok with leaving her alone may be ok.
Bonnie is around 6 years old as of 09/27/21
If you would like to meet this special dog, please email dogs@lunashouse.org to set up an appointment. Please be patient to hear from us as we are all volunteers and may not be able to respond immediately.
Our volunteers make sure just the right home is chosen for me so they require a home visit to make sure there are no safety issues that could hurt me. You must live within a 50 mile radius of our location in order to be considered.
The adoption fee is $250 and includes vaccines, flea prevention treatment, neuter/spay, and micro chipping. Like us on Facebook!!
Disclaimer:
Visual breed identification in dogs in unreliable, for most of our dogs we are making the best guess at what the predominant breed or breed mix might be. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality and temperament, not breed label.
