My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BINNY O’FLYNN
Female, Lionhead
DOB: 2020 (estimated)

Dear Miss O’Flynn was discarded at an apartment complex in Royersford in July. Very fortunately, a kind couple came to her rescue and delivered this sweet treasure of a bunny into our rescue a few days later. Binny arrived with a severe case of diarrhea due to a parasitic infection, and also presented with an injured back right leg. These days, Binny O’Flynn is an different bunny than the one that arrived into our rescue in July! She’s been treated for coccidia, and has transitioned onto a proper bunny diet beautifully. It took some time, but she’s decided that, in fact, hay is a very good thing to eat. While her leg is fractured, it is an old fracture that has healed on its own. Our vet has not recommended any action at this time regarding her little leggy, and she gets around just fine despite her little kick stand sticking out.

Binny is a sweet, sweet girl who loves attention, exploring, and will delight onlookers with some binkies too. Binny will need some special accommodations litterbox-wise due to her leg, and need to be kept on soft, clean, and cushy surfaces to keep her comfy. Binny cannot be housed in a cage or in an ex-pen with metal bars, as she will risk getting her leg caught in the bars and injuring it further. An ideal living arrangement for Binny would be if she had a small, bunny-proofed room or area in the home that will be free of any obstacles that she might catch her leg on. She will also need some extra attention with keeping her backside clean too, since her injury prevents her from reaching all of the places that need reaching. We also think that Binny might do exceptionally well with a bunny friend - she has a super friendly and curious approach with the other bunnies in her foster home.
