Soka is a 2 y/o Border Collie/Corgi weighing 25#. She was surrendered with her sister as they were a bit too much energy for their previous owner. Soka is a sweet, affectionate girl who is looking for an experienced and active home with humans who are home a lot. Soka craves human affection and will want to sleep in the big bed. She is potty trained but may need time to figure out how best to let her human know that she needs to go out. Soka doesn't love her crate but is getting better going in it on her own and hasn't been destructive when left unattended overnight or for a couple hours at a time. Soka walks nicely on the leash and tends to mimic other dog's energy and behavior. Soka is treat motivated and likes other dog friendly dogs; we are looking for another friendly male dog of similar age and size in her new home and are not considering applications that do not meet this criteria. She loves to play but they would do best in a home with NO cats, NO dogs over 35#, and children 10+ if any. Soka would do best in a quieter home without a lot of commotion or visitors going in and out and humans who are not gone long hours. Soka knows some basic cues but would like humans who can teach her more and she'd love to learn a dog sport. A fenced in yard where she can romp and play is REQUIRED; she would not be a good fit for an apartment situation.
