My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome gentleman is Buster and he’s about 13 years young. Sadly, his owner was no longer able to care for him, so Buster joined the Russell Rescue family. This guy is a little confused and understandably so, but we are giving him time to adjust in his foster home. Buster is a sweet and beautiful doggie. He’s a little larger than the average JRT. His foster mom says: “He is good with other dogs, but really has no interest in them. He is a people dog, loving attention and loving to be near you. He seems to be housebroken. He does not like to be crated at all. It causes him anxiety. But he really doesn’t need a crate. He likes to go for walks or just roam around in the backyard. His world has been turned upside down and he is doing his best to stay calm and carry on. But the sooner he finds a safe and warm bed, the better. He needs a retirement home. Overall, he’s a really good boy.”
Buster will require a home with a securely fenced in yard. No chain link or electronic fencing for this boy. A home visit and good vet reference are required to adopt him. Buster’s adopter must be willing to travel to the Toledo, Ohio area to adopt him. We will not ship him.
