My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Driver

Small but mighty, yet a lover not a fighter!
Weighing just under 8 pounds, this little man was miraculously surviving on the streets in Indiana- and without the use of his back legs! It is believed Driver suffered a deep tissue injury, of unknown origin. His future is looking brighter than ever- as he began walking after about a week in rescue! Continued encouragement and a little therapy will go a long way for this little dude. There are many vets who offer said services, but a generous donor also donated a muscle stim machine for Driver to take to his forever home!

Driver is a grade A passenger, and would love to join you for Sunday cruises. He has been the superstar of a nursing home he has been visiting with his foster mom. Though he does bark at the men folk when they first approach at home or the office, its nothing but affection. Driver hasn't met any kids yet, but befriends kittens who come his way! He loves pets, snuggles, and giving some kisses. The occasional toss of a squeaky toy get his tail wagging, but most of all he just wants to be with his people. (And the tail is rarely not wagging) He is currently fostered with 7 other dogs, and does well with those smaller as well as larger than he.
Driver is continent- taking him out on a schedule, and watching for him heading to the door are key. Driver needs some help getting down the few deck stairs in his foster home, but has braved getting back up one recently.
He doesn’t bark to go out, but will alert you to the mailman/company/those Amazon packages you are trying to hide from your partner. Hanging in the backyard is a favorite pass time, along with following you around the house. He loves being picked up, and getting settled on the couch- as long as he gets to sit on your lap or near you.
Driver is just a go with the flow guy, looking for a family to love him for life
