Our lovely little Suzy is now ready for her new home! Suzy is a local dog that was found as a stray. She was adopted out a few years ago and the shelter could not get in touch with her adopters so now she is with Pixie Mamas and ready for her new life to begin. Suzy is a poodle mix - maybe with Maltese? She is 10 years old and 13 pounds. Suzy came to PMR because her mouth was severely infected and was in desperate need of a dental. After weeks of antibiotics and a dental, Suzy is feeling much better!
Suzy is a calm and gentle dog with her foster mom. She loves to under her desk when she is working and follows her from room to room when she is not. Suzy is good with other dogs but will get bossy when needed - especially when those young guns get rowdy! She is nicely crate trained and walks on a leash. She has a fully fenced yard in her foster home which she seems to enjoy. Suzy appears to be housetrained to her foster mom but we always remind people to expect a transition time. Suzy would be fine with other calm, low key dogs or by herself. Older kids or kids that just visit are fine - she is past her playing years and she just wants to be someone's lap dog. Suzy does well in the car and is happy when a timbit comes her way. Suzy will need regular grooming throughout her life. She is happy for the attention and love is receiving now and just wants to spend her retirement years in a home that won't throw her away again.
Suzy is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. She has had bloodwork done and a full dental with all of her teeth are extracted. Her adoption fee is $250.
