Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bella is a 7 year old, 15 lb. Yorkie mix who was surrendered to the shelter because her people, who mostly kept her as a porch dog, said they just didn’t want her anymore. Recently when a potential adopter inquired about Bella they complained that she was too old. Really?! In some sacred teachings “7” is considered to be the “perfect” number. For Bella that means 7 years to perfect her housebreaking, 7 years to quit chewing, 7 years of practice launchngi herself from a butt sit on the ground directly into your lap in a chair; 7 years to rehearse over and over again what it means to be someone’s loving, faithful companion. This sweetheart is definitely not a fading wall flower; she’s more sprightly and full of life than your favorite wind up toy. And Bella loves to be near people. In spite of her challenging background, her little tail flashes “Happy! Happy! Happy!” over and over again when there’s folks around. It’s easy to imagine Bella being adored by a retired couple who will love to show her off at camp and with their grandchildren, or who might cruise the country with her from RV park to RV park. She lived with adults and children in her former life but no cats or chickens, please.
