My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chandler, a sweet and loving 4.5-year-old tabby cat. This boy really likes to cuddle, specifically up close to your face to be close. He enjoys both social time and time to himself. He likes to be pet, held some, get his tummy rubbed, play, and lay near/on you. Like most kitties, cat towers are a favorite! What cat doesn’t like to look out over his kingdom? :)

Chandler can be shy at first and is scared of loud noises, but once warmed up, he is such a sweetheart. He purrs and has the cutest squeak of a meow. He has been an indoor cat so far, but a safe/protected outdoor option could work as well for him.

He gets along well with other cats, however he has recently developed a habit of marking his territory (spraying), likely due to the number of feral cats in his neighborhood (he can see them from the window). He has been taken to the vet to rule out any underlying medical problems.

He has been living with another male cat his whole life, but at this point we think he may do best as a single kitty. We think his territorial behavior may go away when he is not sharing a space with another animal. Other than this, he is such a wonderful, beautiful, and sweet cat.

If you are interested in meeting Chandler, please contact Debbie at Jake’s Place for more information 415-548-0824.

This kitty is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.
