If you are interested in fostering, we are looking for someone to foster Caramel and Ricky together (see Ricky's post here on Adopt A Pet also.
Found homeless and motherless, on the streets of Cairo when she was just weeks old, Caramel was so very lucky to not have experienced the trauma that so many kittens and cats are subjected to in Egypt.
As a result, this nine-month-old cutie is one happy, confident and expressive kitty!
From her foster parent: "She is the cutest thing I've ever seen. She's an energetic & curious one. She will follow you around to see what you're doing. She loves to stare at your computer while you're working. She also loves to purr super loud while being petted. She loves to run around & play. She will greet you at the door when you come home."
Though Caramel is fine with other cats, she has no interest in them. For this reason, she is well suited to being the only pet in an adult-only home. If you are seeking a pair however, she gets along great with Ricky (see Ricky's profile here on Adopt A Pet as well).
Quite the Diva, Caramel loves to be the center of attention so the more you adore her, the better. :)
International Adoption fee: $500 (includes flight, travel and government mandated fees)
Because the animals come from abroad, there are many more costs involved.
Our adoption fee is determined on a cost-recovery basis which includes the cat’s vetting (varies for each animal depending on the situation and circumstance of their rescue in Egypt), microchip, up to date shots, de-worming, de-fleaing, spay/neuter, all travel and flight costs, government mandated fees.
Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and dogs on the streets of Egypt as we can. Your donation goes back to the Egyptian rescues to help them recover their costs. Not only are you saving this animal's life, you are also helping to save another animal's life because the pet you just brought home has now opened up a space for the rescues in Egypt to offer to another animal in need.
