My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet little Tai is an adorable senior doxie mix who is looking for his lifetime of love. Tai has been lovingly cared for by his wonderful foster home, and so we now know exactly how to best meet Tai’s wishes for his best life.

Tai is a quiet, sensitive little senior who, many years ago, was shot by an anonymous person. As per our recent x-rays, these injuries are very old and have seemed to impact only one leg. He has shrapnel remaining in one front leg, and the bullet still lodged in his chest. This has been thoroughly investigated. Tai is a happy and healthy boy despite this horrendous abuse in his younger years. Tai lifts one front leg (which is not usable and fused in place) and uses his remaining three legs well; his balance is good, but he does need someone nearby when he goes potty outside to lend a hand to ensure he can maintain his balance. He must be lifted on/off the couch, cannot jump up or down and loves to sleep with his person.

Tai eats well and is on a healthy diet to keep him trim to aid in keeping his weight in check and his body balanced. He weighs around 15 lbs., loves to explore the fresh air in his yard for exercise, and is a homebody. He gets along with other small dogs although is shy and timid, older children, cats are unknown however his gentle spirit would more than likely accept them.

Tai is loving, sweet, exceptionally trusting, asks for very little, follows and adores his humans. We are hoping you will see his heart, his unconditional love, his resilience and will open your hearts and home to give Tai all the happiness he deserves in his golden years!!! Tai's best life and home will be retired, have a fenced yard, single family dwelling with preferably no stairs and another very quiet, small, docile senior dog would be great but not necessarily required. Locations accepted are: WA State, Oregon and British Columbia.
