My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Barney! I'm an older gentleman, approximately 11 years old. I came here with my friend Orson when our guardian could no longer care for us.

When I arrived here, I was skinny and my long fur was very matted. I needed all my mats shaved off, and for awhile I looked a little funny - but it's growing back beautifully now. I am the most loving cat you will ever meet. I love to be held, and will hold onto your shoulder with my paws because I don't want you to let me go. I am buddies with my pal Orson, but we are not bonded enough that we cannot go to separate (but wonderful) homes of our own.

After HSJC's vet examined me and did a senior blood panel, they discovered that I have a hyperthyroid condition. This is fairly common among senior kitties, and is controlled with an inexpensive prescription pill that I eat 2x daily. I also needed a dental cleaning to keep me healthy, and I received that too. In a nutshell, I'm all ready for my forever home!

I am up to date on my FVRCP and rabies vaccines, and micro-chipped too. My adoption fee is $100.
