Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MIllie is a sweet young dog who is adored by her foster family and anyone who comes into contact with her. She was rescued out of a local shelter where she first arrived as a stray. Millie hovers around a year old. She is medium to large in size. Millie is currently living with two other large breed, female dogs and gets along just fine with both. She is also BEST FRIENDS with the neighbours large male lab and they have daily play matches in the adjoining back yards :) She is a high energy girl and needs to be able to get her energy out with walks and play in a large fenced area. She is a happy girl who LOVES her humans. She is living with a cat and although loves to play chase with him, is very gentle and basically leaves him alone. We can't say the same for Mr. Chazz cat though...he loves Millie so much he entices her to chase as much as he can and almost seems angry when she ignores the invitation! The two friends can be 'caught' sleeping on the couch in a ball together though :) Millie is crate trained and house trained. She will signal at the door when she needs to go outside to do her business. Millie has met and spent time with her foster parents 6 month old nephew and is very calm and gentle with the baby. However, we have never introduced her to toddlers or small children.
We are looking for a dog lover, who simply falls in love with the PERSONALITY of a dog and not it's looks. We want a NON JUDGEMENTAL applicant for Millie please. She is a lab MIX, but because we cannot prove her heritage or breed mixes, she may have difficulty in some large, city municipalities in Ontario, being accused of having a certain 'look' to her. She is simply a friendly, social, well trained, loving dog who requires a perfect home.
Millie has been fully vetted including spayed, vaccinated and heartworm tested negative. She is a very healthy, happy dog. Her adoption fee is $300. If you would like to apply to adopt her, please email teddyacres@yahoo.com with an intro email and we'll send an application form. Thank you!
