My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pebbles!
Pebbles is a 1 year old Chiweenie (best guess) mix female — sweet, gentle, affectionate, cuddly; she can be shy at first but no aggression. She would THRIVE in a patient, nurturing home with dog friends.

Reindeer in training! Pebbles is truly a velcro dog and would be happy to go wherever her person is. She is learning to love dog toys and tug games and how to truly be a dog and it's amazing seeing her become her true self.

Pebbles is a perfect balance between adventure buddy and couch potato. She loves to go on walks, play fetch in the yard, and play with her foster brothers but will also happily curl up in her person's lap or join you for a nap! She's also tiny and portable, so if she gets tired you can just pick her up.

Pebbles is quite timid and fearful at first and needs someone patient who will give her the time she needs to feel comfortable and come out of her shell. Once she is comfortable (after about a week), she will eagerly greet you when you get home with kisses and cuddles.

Pebbles does great on walks. She leads the way without much pulling. She also does great in the car.

Pebbles knows the commands "sit" and "go kennel" and is currently working on "lie down".

Pebbles sleeps in her kennel at night without any complaints. During the day, she is left in the living room/kitchen with her foster brothers and she does great -- no crying or barking and she has never been destructive.

Pebbles does great with other small dogs with a slow introduction. She is rather timid, so she needs some time to warm up. She hasn't met any cats yet, but I believe she would do okay.

Pebbles needs work learning that people aren't bad and scary. She is getting better with this. She also can get possessive of her person and chew bones.

Pebbles would do best in a home without young children (teenagers and up would likely be okay). She does not do well with a fast approach and she might find children a bit too unpredictable.
