Calling all Dachshund lovers! Biscuit is now available for adoption! This 5 year old cuddle bug was an owner surrender in Texas and is looking for someone to love.

She is a very kind and gentle dog, and just sweet to the core. Her favorite past times include burrowing under blankets, and eating. She does like to come and cuddle up next to her foster family if they are lounging around. She enjoys running around with the resident dog from time to time but is mostly low key. She is learning to walk on a leash and is very treat-motivated. Since she is still learning to walk on a leash, a fenced in yard would be preferred. She is potty-trained and will go in her foster home’s fenced in yard, but do expect some accidents at first. She is very smart and quickly picked up her foster family’s routine. She follows her foster parents all around and lies down near them when they are working. She doesn’t need to be the center of your attention but wants to be in the mix. She would make a great companion dog. She can go in a crate but doesn’t need to, she doesn’t chew things up and can be left out alone. She has been living in her foster home with another dog and is doing well. She is living with children and is very sweet with them. She knows her name and comes when called. Biscuit is spayed, up to date on vaccines, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. She has also been given a dental when she arrived in NY Her adoption fee is $400
