My name is
Christmas and I spend my days generally keeping an eye out for anything interesting.
Everyone knows that I am the boss around here and that there is never enough time to finish my work. I earn my keep of wonderful rawhide chicken treats and am always handsomely rewarded with affection. I always climb into the biggest doggie bed to stash my collection of treasures.
I think life at Ken-Mar Rescue, is almost perfect... except that I have no “fur-ever family” to enjoy it with.
Life wasn’t always this great. A few weeks ago my previous owner dropped me off at the vet and left me there! He gave the animal hospital a bogus phone number and address and left me to my fate! I guess I was no longer needed or wanted. I don’t have any idea why. I just live to play, be a good canine citizen and companion. The wonderful staff at the vet didn’t want to take me to the shelter so they contacted Ken-Mar Rescue, and so my story continues.
I am ready to start the next chapter of my young life but this time with a truly “fur-ever” family. My hope is to be snuggled under the tree this holiday season and I love my new name, Christmas because love, warmth and good feelings are what I represent and that’s what the season is all about.
I am working on my housebreaking, walk well on a leash and am very smart.
BREED: Neutered male, Pomeranian & Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Mix, Caramel Color, 10 lbs, 11 months.
PET PEEVE: Hairdryers and vacuum cleaners
SPECIAL TALENT: Climbing up the biggest doggie bed and hiding my treasures.
OBSESSIONS: Playing with balls and toys.
KNOWN ACHIEVEMENTS: Surviving the most adverse of circumstances and still willing to forgive and love humans unconditionally.
