Cass is a 13 week old puppy who is just learning that life as a family puppy is a lot of fun! She and her sisters were part of a Oops litter, that lived outside and missed out on much socialization and handling. That lack of family interaction and living in a house has not prevented her from quickly adapting to loving people, her crate, and, oh my goodness, toys!
Cass loves playing in the yard with her three foster brothers. She is especially fond of the youngest, who she has adopted as her very own climbing wall. Fortunately, Pete is patient and accommodating. If Cass were to pick her favorite activity, it would be splashing in the water, whether it is the communal water bowl or the kiddie pool, racing in circles, blowing bubbles, and trying very hard to get every last drop of water out of the container. Cass enjoys going for walks and is making great progress with her no-pull harness. This girl is also a great cuddler and loves to be with her people.
Having never been inside, she has quickly learned inside manners. She rarely has an accident in the house. This is only piddling on the floor when her humans don’t immediately get her outside after crate time, or when she meets new people and gets very excited. Cass is crate trained, but is still young, so only a couple of hours at a time can be expected without an accident. She also likes music when she has to be crated. At night, she is either sleeping on the floor, or in some softy’s bed. She sleeps through the night, allowing her people a good eight hours of rest.
Cass would be the perfect pet for anyone wanting a medium energy pup who wants to play, cuddle, and be delightfully cute. She is smart and is already learning basic obedience. She would love to have an older kid, or two or three, to call her own. Cass has not shown any aggression towards cats. She has seen the barn cats, and would like to get to know them better, but they are having nothing to do with that. Right now, sheep scare her because they are so loud. The chickens are interesting, but not chase-worthy. She does need a fence. Any type of fence would do.
Is Cass just waiting for you?
Cass is being fostered in the Holden, Mo area.
