My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Life’s a dance, so come party with me! Hi, my name is Alaska, but my friends call me “Ally”. I am a fun and feisty gal with a zest for life! Most people think of me as Hollywood’s “it” girl, but I have a little country in my soul too. I love to mingle among my canine friends but prefer to hang with pups who display proper manners – I am a lady, after all. I can’t help that I enjoy a more laid-back bunch over a rough and tumble party crowd; daintiness just suits me! Humans are my favorite friends, though! I love to pretend I’m one of them by standing on my hind legs and showing them my not-so-graceful dance moves. Most of the time humans giggle when they see me dance, but I am okay with that because I love to make them smile! The younger humans are really fun too! I love to play with them, but I think I’m a little too spirited for the smaller ones, so bigger kiddos are my favorite! When it comes to my feline friends, they don’t seem to really want to hang out with me. I have no idea why, maybe they are just jealous of my quirky disco moves or my charming personality? Who knows? You can’t please everyone! Just to be safe, though, I should probably stick to a home without kitties.

My stunning good looks and dazzling personality are not all that I have to offer; I am super smart too! I love to learn new things and I’m an excellent student! We may have to learn from each other a bit when it comes to finding the right student/teacher balance, but I promise to work extra hard to be the best girl I can be! On top of all of that, I am housebroken AND crate trained! My friends at PawPrints say I’m the whole package! I don’t know what that means, exactly, but I think it’s a good thing!

I bet you’re wondering how a good girl like me ended up in a rescue. Well, I had puppies in my first home - you might actually know some of them, Porkchop (Pawprints alumn) and Gianna (currently available for adoption) - and my previous owner surrendered us one at a time, starting with Porkchop after he had been hit by a car. Now, I’m looking for my new FURever home alongside Gianna! Gianna and I LOVE to play and would really like to be adopted together, but we realize it’s a lot to ask and will be perfectly fine if we are adopted into our own individual families!

So, if you are looking for unending love and merriment in your life, I am your girl. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new life together as adventure pals (did I mention I am the BEST karaoke partner?!), snuggle buddies, and most importantly a FURever family!
