Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lizzy is a sweet, little 2 year old 30lb black and white mini Aussie with adorable freckles on her legs ready to find her best friend.
Lizzy is a professional cuddler and adores her person. She does well with other dogs, but does not care whether they are there or not. She prefers her person. She is a true velcro Aussie.
If you’re looking for a playmate for your pup, this is NOT your girl. She would prefer to be your one and only bestest sidekick. She doesn’t care to share her toys or chews or her person. Due to her jealous side, she shouldn’t be in a home with small children that she may have to share her mom or dad with, but children 12 and older are ok
Don’t let her loveable side fool you though, she loves to run, and chase chipmunks. Her ideal home would include a fully fenced yard to exercise although she does have great recall as well. A casual walk on the leash would not be enough for this little spitfire! She would be an excellent companion to hang out with while doing yard work as her nose works overtime when outside!
Her off-leash recall is excellent and she’s 100% housebroken and uses a pet door in her foster home. She is the most loveable dog her foster mom has ever encountered, but can be a little shy with men. No worries though, she is easily won over with some attention and some high value treats! The way to her heart is definitely with cookies!
She still has some puppy behaviors in her and does like to chew. She will need a variety of quality chew bones. If you have an empty lap, love morning snuggles, and would appreciate epic displays of happiness when you return home, this little gem might be for you.
Lizzy is up-to-date on all of her shots and is on monthly prevention for fleas/ticks and heartworms. She is spayed and microchipped. Are you looking for a companion? Lizzy is looking for her person and is being fostered in the Springfield IL area.
Lizzy’s NEEDS:
A person looking for a sidekick
Exposure to cats is unknown, but she has a high prey drive, so we recommend no cats, or seriously dog savvy cats.
Children 12 and older
Mental and physical exercise daily
Lizzy’s WANTS:
A physically fenced backyard
