My story

MEET BUCKY. He is a sweet male yorkie who is only 3 years old and weighs 13 lbs. Bucky is being fostered in Vestavia Hills, AL.
Bucky must be adopted within a 150 mile radius of his foster home. Please consider this before applying for him.

UPDATED BIO 09/08/2021: Bucky arrived only a couple of days ago into his UYR foster home. He was a very beloved dog in his owner’s home where he was spoiled and pampered, but due to circumstances beyond the owner’s control, she could no longer care for Bucky. She contacted UYR and that’s how Bucky became a UYR foster dog.

Foster mom reports that he is such a sweetheart and is very interested in his doggie playmates in the foster home, even though he was an only dog in his former home. BONUS! Bucky is house-trained and he is also trained on pee-pee pads which he has not yet used in his foster home. He loves following the other dogs outside and really enjoys his big fenced-in yard.

Bucky LOVES the outdoors and Foster Mom says he is a big-time lap baby and loves to give kisses – lots of them! He loves everyone he meets – he has adjusted well to his foster home and has had his well-dog-visit. He did have an ear infection and is on meds for that. Bucky appears to be hearing-impaired, but he can hear the squeaky toy, so that’s a good thing. He loves playing with a ball as well.

Once his ear infection has cleared, Bucky will be ready for adoption.
