Stella is a 13 week old puppy who is just starting to let her wild side out! She and her sisters were part of a Oops litter, that lived outside and missed out on much socialization and handling. But Stella's ability to bounce back and learn the ropes of indoor life is impressive.
Miss Stella loves toys and will play fetch with just about anything you throw, she is also just starting to learn the joys of tug. She is doing well with house training, learning sit/down, and the basics of luring and shaping. Although she doesn't care for her crate yet, she tolerates it and is learning about downtime and settling. Stella is currently fostered with 16 herding breed dogs and does great with all of them.
Because she missed out on much socialization, another confident canine companion is highly recommended, to continue showing her the ropes and helping her to build positive experiences. We have noticed some resource guarding of her toys from the big dogs, but are working to redirect.......it may simply be due to all the changes in her world.
Stella can be shy and reserved in new situations, but recovers well and does best with the company of another confident canine.
Stella is being fostered in the St. Louis, Mo area.
