My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marigold (or “Mari” for short) is a beautiful, young, dilute calico kitty girl who is friendly and affectionate. This sweetheart was still practically a kitten herself when she gave birth to 5 kittens in April. Mari is quite outgoing and signals she wants attention by prancing around you and rubbing against your leg before plopping over on her side for pets. At this point in her young life, she is not especially fond of being held but does enjoy snuggling up next to people. Mari really enjoys it when her human makes a bit of a fuss over her, talking to her and petting her. She also likes to engage in play with wand toys and toy mice - bonus if feathers are involved! Mari does well around older children, but her temperament around younger children and dogs is unknown. Mari does love to play under the door with the resident cats in her current foster home. Proper introduction techniques and gentle transitions are important when integrating a cat into a new setting and Mari’s foster mom thinks she could do very well with a patient human’s help to get accustomed to cat savvy little humans and/or dogs.

Marigold's adoption fee is $80. Please complete an online adoption application at petpromise.org/adoption-application if you are interested in adopting Marigold.

We do our best to ensure that all of the PetPromise pets and their new owners are the perfect match, so the adoption process includes a mandatory home visit; for that reason, adoptions outside Franklin County, Ohio and contiguous counties may not be possible.

PETPROMISE DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. Our pets are housed in volunteer foster homes while awaiting adoption.

PETPROMISE HAS NO PAID STAFF. The people processing applications are volunteers with full-time jobs and families, so it may be several days before you receive a response to your application.
