Once you have found a furry baby that you are interested in, we ask that you fill out one of our adoption applications. Once the application has been completed it will be looked over by two people within our organization, one being a board member. On the application you are asked to list your vet and two references. Those people will be contacted and asked a few questions. Once the application has been approved by two people the adoption process can continue. If the person is not filling out the application in person they are asked to make an appointment to come in and see how they interact with the animal. If they have a dog they are asked to bring that dog so we can help with proper introductions. **All Animals are spayed/Neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.

Dogs (over 7 months) - $90
Puppies (under 6 months) - $100
Cats (over 7 months) - $45
Kittens (under 6 months) - $70

2nd Chance Animal Rescue is about giving animals a second chance at finding their forever homes. We promote spaying and neutering of all animals, that is why each one of our animals are up to date on shots and spayed/neutered before they are available for adoption. We are a not-for-profit animal rescue and we are supported by donations from the community. Our team continues to feverishly fight animal cruelty, homelessness, and sickness in Wayne County. We are Wayne County's only no kill rescue without any paid staff. All money raised goes towards the care of the animals.
